Niacin and Chromium are NECESSARY for blood sugar control by default because without them, there's no GTF.

As Doctor Wallach documents rather clearly in the book ''Rare Earths: Forbidden Cures'' Chromium levels of human blood since they were first tested in 1948 have dropped an awe striking amount rather steadily. No shock there as soil has become increasingly more deficient from a fertilization system which focuses on only what the plant needs to get the cheapest maximum yield, not what the human being eating the plant needs to flourish. In addition to this method, we're further compromised by the over-farming of that poorly fertilized soil. Keep in mind that a person's blood levels of minerals are naturally kept in VERY narrow ranges typically and when a deficiency shows up in the blood, it usually means it is rather extensive in the total body. Keeping all of that in mind, the documentation is that blood levels of Chromium [Cr] measured in ng/ml registered at an astonishing 28-1,000 ng/ml range when first tested back in 1948. Fast forwarding to 1971 it was down to 13 ng/ml! Diabetes cases have been on the rise right along with plummeting blood Cr levels. After several tests documenting the continual decline even after 1971 we arrive at the 1985 amount that had gone from 13 ng/ml in 1971 down to .13 ng/ml! Although I won't fully address it yet, not only is this result likely to have much to do with soil depletion but also much to do with dietary habits which affect minerals a great deal-which will be explained later.

Dr. Richard Anderson, researcher for the USDA was quoted as saying '' 90% of Americans are deficient in Chromium''

Now, I'm not saying that Chromium and Niacin are the end all of blood sugar control. That would be wrong, ignorant and illegal. However, based both off of this evidence and much more to be mentioned, it seems that Chromium is something you have to look into as a piece of the puzzle. Due to a wealth of evidence in regard to blood sugar improvement from people who have supplemented with Cr and the simple biological facts at hand, I would think that this is certainly not one of those thinly drawn parallels which I've become very accustomed to in health and nutritional research and mocked at the beginning of this post. Claims that read like the Bumpy Bird example don't compare to the kind of scientific documentation and explanation like we have with Cr. This is a main nutrient that all diabetics should be aware of so that they may make an informed decision about nutritional help.

Our Ultimate Classic has 30 mg of niacin per ounce which is 150% of your RDA and 200 mcg of chromium/ 167% RDA also per ounce

We have additional help with our Sweeteze product which contains a blend of healthy blood sugar supportive herbs as listed: Gymnema leaf, Bitter melon and Jambul seed. Also, it carries that extra dose of Chromium you may want to try and another trace mineral called Vanadium which has it's own function in supporting blood sugar maintenance but in keeping these posts short and sweet, I'll leave its explanation for another post.

One last note: What I find interesting is that diabetics typically suffer from an inability to control their levels of cholesterol and triglycerides and both Chromium and Vanadium deficiency symptoms have been listed as elevated levels of cholesterol and triglycerides as well as the inability to stabilize blood sugar levels. This doesn't seem like a big coincidence to me or one of those thinly drawn parallels. How about you?

According to a statistic released by the Taiwanese Health Authority, diabetes is listed as one of the top ten national major causes of death since 1979. Its mortality rate increased from 6.5 person per 100 thousands population in year 1978 to 42.6 person per 100 thousands population in year 2000 and still showing a tendency of annual increase. According to forecast of a medical survey, from year 1994 to 2010, the number of diabetic patients will double. The main resources are change in lifestyles, including increased mental stress, decreased exercises, and changes in eating habits. All these result in the sharp rise of diabetic population. This also explains why the probability of getting diabetes increase since the change of human life from agricultural to metropolitan.

Clinical research confirmed that GTF can combine with insulin to improve the various symptoms of diabetes. It is an essential factor to maintain the normal glucose metabolism in the body. The onset of diabetes is directly related to the deficiency of trivalent chromium. Scientist carrying out research in this area for more than ten years has discovered that GTF deficiency in the body might lead to diabetes. Supplementing GTF and various nutrients beneficial to diabetes can improve insulin functionality, promote blood sugar metabolism in the patients and thus considered as complementary treatment of diabetes.

END.
